This page explains how to share feedback with AE Tax Advisors. It is not a review form, and nothing you send is published on this site. There are no ratings or star counts here. The purpose of the page is simply to make it easy to tell the firm what you think, whether you have a compliment, a suggestion, a question, or a concern.
Why There Is No Public Review Section
This site does not publish client reviews, ratings, star counts, or testimonials. The reasons are explained in the policy page. In short, reviews are hard to verify, selected reviews on a firm-controlled site can mislead, and tax outcomes depend on individual facts. Instead of publishing reviews, the site provides guides that help you evaluate any firm on evidence you can check yourself. See Our Policy on Reviews and Testimonials.
Who Can Send Feedback
Anyone can send feedback: current clients, former clients, people who had a discovery call, or people who visited the site. If you have not worked with the firm, you can still send a question or a comment about the site.
How to Send Feedback
The firm publishes contact information on its websites. You can email team@aetaxadvisors.com or call (631) 614-5762. You can also raise concerns during a discovery call or in the course of an engagement. If you are a client, you can contact your usual point of contact. Please put feedback in writing when it matters, so that there is a record of what you said and when.
What to Include
A useful message includes:
- Your name and contact information, so that the firm can respond.
- A brief description of your interaction with the firm, such as a discovery call or an engagement, and when it occurred, without unnecessary detail.
- What you want to share: a compliment, a suggestion, a question, or a concern.
- What you would like to happen, if anything, such as a call back or a correction.
Specific, factual descriptions are more helpful than general statements. If you are describing a concern, include dates and what was said or done.
What to Leave Out
Please do not include sensitive information in a first message, such as Social Security numbers, full account numbers, or detailed financial documents. If more information is needed, the firm can provide a secure way to share it. Also avoid including information about other people without their permission.
What Happens Next
Feedback sent to the firm is generally reviewed by the firm, and the firm may respond to you. This site does not promise a specific response time. If your message concerns an active engagement, the firm may address it through your usual contact. Feedback sent through this channel is not published, and it does not appear anywhere on this site.
If Your Concern Is Serious
If you believe you were treated improperly, you may want to gather documentation and consider your options. Depending on the situation, you may wish to seek advice from another professional or an attorney. Professional licensing bodies and tax authorities also accept complaints about tax professionals. See How to Report Tax Preparer Misconduct. Sending feedback to a firm does not replace those options, and you are free to pursue them.
If You Have a Question About Your Tax Situation
This page is not the place for tax questions. Questions about your own situation are best raised through a discovery call or, for current clients, through your usual channel. General information is available in the guides on this site.
A Note on Reviews Elsewhere
You are free to post reviews on any independent platform you choose. This site does not solicit, edit, or repost such reviews. If you do post one elsewhere, avoid sharing confidential information about your tax situation, and remember that a review reflects one person's experience. See How to Read Online Reviews of Any Tax Firm Critically for how to read reviews critically.
How Feedback Improves Service
Feedback helps any firm improve its communication, its process, and its materials. Comments about what was confusing, what was helpful, and what could be clearer are valuable. The firm may use feedback to improve its guides and its processes. It does not use feedback as a testimonial without your explicit permission.
Your Privacy
Please review the privacy practices described on the firm's main website before sending personal information. If you prefer to speak by phone, you can do so.
Frequently Raised Concerns
People sometimes ask whether feedback affects their relationship with the firm. Feedback is generally welcomed as a way to improve service, and raising a concern is not a reason for a firm to treat you differently. If you are worried, put your feedback in writing and keep a copy. People also ask whether they should send feedback before ending an engagement. There is no rule, but raising a concern while the engagement is active gives the firm a chance to address it. If you have already ended the engagement, you can still send feedback.
Suggestions for This Site
If you have a suggestion for improving the guides, such as a topic you would like explained or a passage that was unclear, please send it too. The guides are meant to be useful, and reader suggestions help identify gaps.
